The art of interposing your weapon (or arm) between your body and the incoming attack.

Action Reactive, Minor.
Note The character does not move as part of this action, however the maneuver still consumes (but does not require) a unit of Movement Allowance.
Roll [Dexterity + Brawl].
Reach 0 or weapon.
Effect Successes reduce successes of attacker.
Effect The blocking arm or weapon must Soak damage equal to the amount the attack’s successes were reduced by. Excess successes from this maneuver reduce the amount the arm or weapon must soak.
Note This maneuver can be performed when Prone.
Note Can not be used against Ranged attacks, unless fired from point blank range.
