Powers - Innate - Aspect of Heartwood - Dot 2 - Resinous Exudation
The Awakened’s blood thickens, congealing in their wounds:
|Requires||The Awakened must be wounded.|
|Action||Negligible, Start of Turn.|
|Roll||[Stamina + Survival + Release Level, up to dots in Aspect of Heartwood].|
|Cost||Invest up to 1 Aura per success from Greenwood Flesh manifestation.|
|Effect||A resinous sap-like substance congeals in the Awakened’s wounds, sealing their flesh.|
|Effect||Ignore wound penalties equal to aura invested in Resinous Exudation clinging to the character’s wounds.|
|Note||Repeated use of this power creates more Resinous Exudation.|
|Note||There is a maximum amount of Exudation that will cling to an Awakened’s wounds. It works almost like the reverse of wound penalties:
Unwounded: Max 0.
1 wound, max 2.
2 wounds, max 4.
3+ wounds, max 6.
|Effect||If, through healing or over production, there would be more than the maximum amount of Resinous Exudation clinging to the character then the excess falls from the character. The aura invested into it turns into quintessence as the resin becomes a low grade magical material which has primary dynamism traits, but secondary stasis and entropy.|
|Effect||Resin which remains clinging to the Awakened’s body will be reabsorbed into their flesh as their aura dissipates after combat.|
The Awakened can reclaim Aura invested into Resinous Exudation:
|Requires||The Exudation must still be clinging to the Awakened’s wounds.|
|Roll||[Manipulation + Awareness + Release Level, up to dots in Aspect of Heartwood].|
|Effect||Up to 1 Aura per success can be uninvested from Resinous Exudation and returned to the character’s Greenwood Flesh aura.|
