Powers - Vampire - Obtenebration - Dot 3 - Flesh of Darkness

The Awakened causes their Shadow Cloak to saturate and partially replace their flesh:

Requires The Awakened must be Cloaked in Shadow.
Action Negligible.
Dice Pool [Presence + Survival + Release Level, up to dots in Obtenebration], no roll needed.
Effect The Awakened’s Shadow Cloak saturates and partially replaces their flesh.
Effect The Awakened becomes more sensitive to light:
1 Stagger Penalty per round from Bright Artificial Lights.
1 Lethal damage per round from Weak Sunlight.
1 Aggravated damage per round from Full Sunlight.
This is on top of any damage they might take because of vampiric taint etc, but remember to factor in the shading effect of Shadow Cloak first.
Effect If the Awakened would take Lethal damage, it takes Bashing damage instead, (this does not apply to damage received from fire or light).
Effect The Awakened gains bonus dice to Soak equal to the Effect Level of its Shadow Cloak.

The Awakened can cause their Shadow Cloak to cease saturating their flesh:

Action Negligible.
Cost None.
Dice Pool [Presence + Survival + Release Level, up to dots in Obtenebration], no roll needed.
Effect The Shadow Cloak rises back out of the Awakened’s Flesh.
Effect The effects of Flesh of Darkness no longer apply to the Awakened.
Note This does not remove the Shadow Cloak itself.

Note: This is an Vampiric Power which Awakened can gain by Absorbing some Soul Fragments.
