The Awakened can meld their body into wood:

Requires Touch wood, enough to hold your body.
Action Minor, Extended.
Roll [Wits + Survival + Release Level, up to dots in Protean].
Cost Invest up to 1 Aura per success.
Effect The Awakened begins to merge into the wood. The more Aura Invested the more of their body merges. They’re probably immobilized, or at least hampered, while merging.
Effect Once the transformation reaches Effect Level 3 the Awakened’s body has fully merged into the wood. To all intents and purposes their body no longer exists. It does not age. Wounds do not heal or worsen. Transformations of the body (including Merge) do not dissipate. The wood continues as it was (living or dead), but gains the properties of a low grade magical material with primary dynamism, lesser stasis and entropy traits, worth 6 quintessence.
Effect An Awakened can use a Merged body as its active vessel. It is effectively possessing the wood the body has merged into. it can use the stats of its vessel to Manifest Aura and use powers, however it can’t use the physical senses or capabilities of its body to do anything. It’s a lump of wood (or possibly a possessed tree).
Effect While merged minor damage, exposure to sunlight, submersion under water etc do not affect the Awakened’s body. Large scale damage (cut into pieces, burned, etc) will affect the Awakened’s body, and force it out of the merged state.

An Awakened can unmerge:

Action Minor.
Cost None.
Roll [Manipulation + Awareness + Release Level, up to dots in Protean].
Effect Uninvest up to 1 Aura per success from Merge and return it to the Awakened’s primary Aura manifestation.
Effect As the Merge’s Effect Level drops the Awakened’s body emerges from the wood.

Note: This is an Vampiric Power which Awakened can gain by Absorbing some Soul Fragments.
