Maneuvers - Brawl - Dot 2 - Choke Hold

MMA has made this one real popular, but there’s many a slip between grip, and for some reason it doesn’t work too good on vampires.

To secure a choke hold:

Limit You can’t try to secure a choke hold if the target already has Grapple Advantage against you.
Action Main.
Roll [Strength + Brawl -3 for difficulty] opposed by opponent’s dodge (if not in a grapple), or their [Strength + Brawl] (if already in a grapple).
Effect Success means you secure a choke hold.
Effect Successes add to any existing grapple advantage you have on the target.
Effect On Failure, you do not secure a choke hold.
Effect On Failure, any excess successes from the target’s resistance roll decrease your grapple advantage and can give them advantage.
Note Trying to secure a choke hold counts as a use of Grapple for the turn.

While you have someone in a choke hold:

Effect You can use grapple to increase your advantage as per normal.
Effect The victim can use grapple to decrease your advantage as per normal.
Effect As long as you maintain advantage of 2 or greater the victim is being choked, building up a -1 penalty to all actions per round. When this penalty equals the victim’s stamina they fall unconscious. This is assuming, of course, they need to breath in the first place.
Effect If your grapple advantage ever reaches 0 the choke hold is broken, normal grappling may continue.
