Will

Will represents both how in control your character is and how much effort it is able to exert.

Your character’s will equals its:
{Maximum Will – Will Depletion}.

Your character’s Maximum Will equals its:
{Resolve + Composure}.

Will depletion is caused by some supernatural or situational effects.

You can also temporarily deplete a point of will to add three dice to a roll. This can be done once per action, even if you have already rolled, but not after the storyteller has described the result. You can only deplete will in this way if current depletion is less than maximum will.

Will Depletion heals at a rate of one point per night.

Will is used as a stat in many rolls to do with causing or resisting supernatural effects, and in resisting Temptation.

If your character gains dots in Resolve or Composure, even temporarily, then your character’s Maximum Will increases. This will also increase its current Will.

If your character loses dots in Resolve or Composure, even temporarily, then your character’s Maximum (and therefore current) Will will decrease. This can result in a negative Will.

If a human’s Will falls to zero or below they fall unconscious. An awakened falls into a state of Perfect Introspection.
